The Celtic Knot originates from Northern Italy and the South part of Gaul, and went to Ireland in the 7th century. Sailors would tie two knots together in remembrance of the love they left while at sea. The Celtic Knot comes in various designs, some representing no beginning and no end, also representing unity and eternal spiritual life.
