Mural at the Soap Lady Store

The mural on the side wall of Soap Lady Store in downtown James is almost done.  The artist is Jamestown's own John Firesheets. It is completely hand-painted and took over a year to complete.   Since this video was shot, much more was added including the handprints of the locals and their children. The octopus is actually holding the mermaid's items that she needs such as a brush, soap,  shampoo and mirror.  Click the video to see a good closeup of the mural.
